Dr. Katherine (Katie) N. Thompson is a postdoctoral researcher in the Sociology Department at Purdue University with a PhD in Social, Genetic, and Developmental Psychology from King’s College London. Her research quantifies how experiences across the life span combine with genetic risk to contribute to depression symptoms. Katie is committed to open, diverse, and communicable science. Her work broadly intersects psychiatry, genomics, and sociology, using innovative statistical approaches to integrate large-scale longitudinal data to better understand mental health.
